Listening to awesome mashups
I spent the last two friendless day with my only best friend of the moment, my laptop. Thinking about it, I should start giving a name to it. I'm practically treating it as my life partner. Okay that's sounds extremely awkward. Oh well.
Yeah, the two photos above are my models for the past two days. I tried really hard to capture the essence of Europeans. But I failed terribly and they all end up too much of... well, Asians. The eyes kill me every single time. I swear, without the face, they look awesome. I was smiling so hard to myself drawing the body structure of the second photo until I screwed up the face. The face really resemble nothing of the model. I was so upset with it that I actually used correction tape to undo my mistake.
But at least it eventually looked like a decent model with features at the right proportion and not Jay Leno's chin with woman's features all the way up to her forehead. So I regret nothing.
Plus, as I draw, I learn. I shall remind myself to use a pencil to sketch the face before using a pen all the way. Yeah, I like to be fearless and draw with pen cause I have such thick skin to think I can draw that flawlessly. Like a boss. >:)
Well, another rant today, cause I can. I learnt from following FashionOfGlee on Tumblr that F21 released a line of Glee shirts and pullovers. They have Finn, Rachel, Kurt and Brittany's faces on individual shirts and yet no Blaine. They actually put "Courage" accompanying Kurt's. I mean, Blaine gave Kurt courage, and love, of course, but they should have another shirt that well, at least have Blaine's face on it. Hello? Darren Criss is voted the 3rd most sexy man alive, they gotta have his sexy face on a fucking shirt by now. Kurt's word should be like, I don't know, "Unicorn"?
And neither does the Glee Club Top have Blaine. Or Mike. They gotta have Mike no? He is in it for three seasons and no Mike Chang. This is just, preposterous. ARGH! And argh! My period is here. That has no link but it just came out along with my anger of the day.
On the bright side, I met up with my homies after about two weeks plus. Meeting up will be so tough now. Really happy to see them today. They discuss about their orientation stories and some were weird but most were funny. We had lunch/dinner and had this tiny photo session in the restaurant after food and it was so fun looking at the waitresses give us the look while we look goofy posing to the camera. It was really golden moments. I don't know, I really look forward to more.
I shall draw more to keep myself away from blogshops and the urges to buy things, alone or not.
