Ridiculously awesome
Now that it is the JC promos, A levels and O levels period, I can't get hold of much people. My Poly friends are all out of town too. So I have embarked on adventures of my own. SINGLE POWER.Okay I just got as far as three bus stops away from my house. But still, progress for the lazy bum! I did walked under the scorching sun for about ten minutes. It was pretty torturous especially when the heat was relentless and my slippers weren't the best hitch hiking gear. But every thing was worth every step I took in the sun. I actually headed toward the Smoochiezz showroom for their Konjac sponge. It is the most amazing sponge that exfoliates the skin while you clean. I honestly no longer have to use my finger to rub dead cells out of my ankles anymore after using this. The whole exfoliating routine is made so much easier and efficient and my thumb thank me for this. Anyway, it is apparently cheaper at the showroom than the booths they set up in malls and stuff. Plus their building is so damn near my house, so I figured why not save time and money. Honestly man, it turned out to be like $2 cheaper and so is a lot of their other stuffs. Opi nail polish going at $10 when you probably find them $20-ish in departmental stores. I got the sponge and another eyebrow-eyelash brush cause I can't stand smudging my eyebrow pencil with my finger again to make it look natural. It was just as cheap a tool, just $4. And it has two purposes. $2 per purpose. Oh god my cheapskate self is emerging out. Who cares. I found TWLOHA dogtag that cost only $2. The normal price, I've checked, is $6 minus the outrageous shipping fee that varies from $5.75 to $40.75. Can you believe it?! I have the best luck with discount and sales and all that. It is rather short a chain but it's not choking my neck, so I'm not complaining. Plus it's for a good cause. I really like what the organisation do to prevent suicide. Okay now for the most crazy + amazing thing happened to me. I probably never mentioned in this space that for the past few months, I have been out with Hui Jun to hunt for TOMS. In fact we actually went to that warehouse sales place at some factory area (okay it is Boon Keng) to try our luck but failed. I was tempted to get the knock off when I was in Malaysia a month or so ago too. Hui Jun and I tried to establish our duo as the TOMS buddies or some sort but we dismissed its grossness the moment it came out from one of our mouths. And throughout the search, I had my eyes on any TOMS that is red. But the price scared me. Well the online store is USD 54. Which means that spree cost about $77.74. But the stores in Singapore that actually carries them sell them at a minimum of $89.00. So you understand my fear. Anyway, at the showroom, which I actually am aware that they have such spree before, they have spare pairs of shoes that is up for sales. And they are all really sparse. There were Baggu bags of only two shades hanging at the cashier. One Dr. Martens lying about the floor (which I was tempted to get but it was high-cut, white and patent. That means the yellow stain on it turned me off). And there was a red pair of TOMS. I was really surprised to find one perfectly fine pair lying about and judging by the sparseness, I assumed the shoes belonged to the lady at the cashier. But I went ahead to ask anyway. The price, not whether the shoes were hers. You have to see how it looks like before I reveal the price.
Your eyes are fine. But your mind is blown. No kidding, I honestly paid fifteen bucks for an authentic pair of Red Stone-Washed Twill Women's Classics. And they are indeed in my size. W7. My size. My desired colour. AUTHENTIC TOMS. I had the biggest smile on my face the rest of the day. Nothing frazzled me for the rest of the day after knowing I've just gotten the best deal and what I have want for so long all at once. My luck was doing its magic and I approve its absolute greatness. Okay, the price is not a prank. The lady explained to me that some bitch ordered but either changed her mind after the product is shipped or chose not collect it after all. So the company had to refund half of the price over such people and sell it in the showroom eventually. After filtering it down, it would end up in my hands, a very cheapskate lady who greeds over sales. :B I regret nothing. Labels: Konjac sponge, smoochiezz, To Write Love On Her Arms, TOMs, TWLOHA |
