In my life of 18 years I have a lot of people who have inspired me and shaped me to the way I am today. Other than my direct relatives, and considering the vast amount of television and films and everything I have come in contact with, of course I am going to have odd figures that I am only get to know through the media to look up to. I have a list of people, mainly crowded with females, that I aspire to be like with the rest of my life ahead of me. But amongst those, the only figure with no blood relations to me is 67th United States Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton. I really really like her as a human being and as a fellow woman. She is an inspiration and what I would like to believe a gracious and strong woman who is contributing to history in a positive light. Of course, I am no political expert, nor am I a hot-blooded politics fanatic that follows each countries' elections every step of the way, but I do know what she stands for and who she is as a human being. I was first drawn to her during the 2008 elections where I blindly picked her as my pick when my sister raised the question of Obama, Hillary or that Republican person. I didn't have a good reasoning them, but I do remember just picking her because she is a woman. And everybody knows how difficult it is for a woman to even establish her stand in "the boy's club". Well then afterwards I got on Tumblr and the love for her on the site began my knowledge for this woman. I began to google her in recent years after the news coverage over her poor health which despite the lack of familiarity and knowledge towards her, managed upset me a little. I guess I felt like the world needs her, to empower women all around the world, and somehow, some way, which I failed to educate myself upon her contributions to the world, she makes the world a better place. The way she handled her husband horrific scandal; the way she handled herself before the press and the mean critics; her stand on human's rights, especially for the LGBTs and women; her role as a wife and a mother and a public figure. All these amount to my respect to her. She is really just incredible and she would probably top my list of shero for quite sometime, until someone else manage to do what she do so well.
