  Boston explosions

I can only hope things look up from here
The news about the Boston explosions came to me this morning and it just darkened my entire day. It was extremely upsetting to see these tragedies happen to mankind because let's face it, nobody should ever go through that. I saw a lot of people covered in blood and their faces scrunched with pain and agony. It was a regular marathon meant to raise funds for the killings in Sandy Hooks elementary school which I talked about before here. It was an innocent event and yet somehow a deranged, sickened individual managed to ruin the purity of it. It is sick. Very, very sick and very, very disturbing. People came together for a good cause and ended up in the worst senario ever.

The photos are the worst. The pictures of the hopes and dreams all shattered in their eyes. Their vulnerabilities within them all laid out in the open because there is nothing left to lose when the circumstances had come to this. It's heartbreaking. Even more so because you cannot block it out like how you would after watching a violent movie where you know that the bad guy dies and the good guys eventually lives a good life and essentially, the story is fiction. This is real life and real people died because of someone so inhumane to do something like that. It makes you feel like humanity disappeared from planet Earth while you are doing what you always do. Something uneasy stirs inside you because you feel like the dark side won. And the balance is tipping over there, which makes you wonder how long more do you become the bad guy yourself.

The only comfort I can find inside the explosions is the desperation of the people who strives to restore the balance by helping and volunteering for the tragedy. The countless photos of the people in the background, the frontline paramedics rushing amongst the chaos to save as many as they can. They wore their desperation on their faces, their hands gripping the victim's to let them have something to hold on while they fight the pain. They are trying to share the pain so the victims could feel less. I don't know if that is what they feel but that's what I wish they are because I am desperate to find the good in humanity after the saddening explosions.

Tomorrow would be better. I can only hold on to that while I try not to think of the aftermath the victims would be going through. It's going to be hard, I know it.
