The melody playing in my ear sings about a broken heart. I sigh as silently as I can. The cheese from the pizza I had for lunch is colouring my thumb nail. It is making me look like a smoker who is showing her symptoms of being addicted. It worries me. Would anyone notice it? Would anyone even notice me? The view from the upper level of the bus overlooks the special schools. The sun is beaming upon on it in a way that if snapped now, the picture might just appear on the schools' website. The white looks almost unnaturally luminous. I bet they must be sweltering in heat in those uniforms they are wearing. They must feel like they are in hell. I feel like I am in hell looking at them. I wonder if they even know what they are living for. I wonder if I know what I am currently living for. Are they finding joy in their daily routine of studying? Am I finding joy in my would-be daily routine of studying in my course? Are they happy? Am I happy? I don't think I have my life figured out as well as I think I did. I can see where I want to be, I just don't know how I am going to get there...
