I don't actually drink coffee
Believe it or not, I don't drink coffee. Not even when it is overseas and I have those free coffee packs lying about the cup corners. I usually just take the home and give them to my godmum who is a coffee drinker.Don't get me wrong, I love the smell of coffee, it's heavenly. And I do love some Sara Lee Coffee pound cake. But I just don't like the TASTE of coffee. It is bitter and I can literally feel the caffeine taking over me. I just really don't appreciate its presence in my digestive system. Nevertheless, I went for the Starbucks' 1-for-1 Xmas drink on the Twelve day of December because I am just the most cheapskate person you can come across in your life. I wouldn't even pay full price for food now. It's a sickness, I know. Anyway, I went to Coronation Plaza that day after the last day of school (Cause, you know, I am having my break now) and got myself my first ever Starbucks. But before I get to that, I ought to share my horrid experience. Okay, so I was walking toward the Starbucks outlet, and this massive group of lower secondary Hwa Chong boys was behind me. I knew, obviously, they were heading to get the same thing as I am, cause it just doesn't make sense for 14 year old boys to go to NTUC in a group. Anyway, so as I was nearing the outlet, the massive herd broke into two parts, one was the chiongers, the other was the whiners. Not weeners, whiners. In an unnaturally auntie manner, the chiongers ran past me to storm into Starbucks only to end up in the queue anyway cause there is another three more people getting their boost of caffeine. The whiners eventually settled behind me and throughout the entire ten minutes of waiting and service, the shortest boy complained non-stop about EVERYTHING in Starbucks. He began with the queue, then the speed of the service, then the price, then the lack of flavours for the promotion that rooted from the price, then the lack of cake selection in the shelves, then the price of the cheesecake in Starbucks, then the price of every cheesecake in the world, then back to the service, then after he has been served he continue the speed of production, then about some gaming thing that his friends are into, then the production speed again, then about another friend who did not hear his plea for straws. Seriously, he just wouldn't stop. And he kept complaining like that because HE NEVER EVEN BEEN TO STARBUCKS BEFORE. He kept going like the world was in debt to him and his continuous need for attention. I was baffled at how absolutely whiny he was and how much more of a cheapskate he was than me. But it wasn't just him that ruined my experience. His friends kept hogging spaces despite being fully aware that the outlet in Coronation Plaza isn't all that spacious. I could hardly move and had to yell at them to scoot over just so I can get out of there. Teens these days are FUCKING selfish, aren't they? So that was my rant, back to my first ever coffee drink. I ordered a Cranberry White Chocolate Frappuccino DECAF, because you know why. It is really sweet, almost too sweet and I would really discard it if it wasn't that the sweetness overpowered the hint of caffeine and also because it cause four bucks after calculation. I was disappointed cause I could hardly taste the white chocolate and I love white chocolate. So yeah, I was pretty upset over that. I still stand by the fact that Starbucks is overpriced. But I actually am less opposed to it after Keh Jun became their barista, cause he educated me about coffee knowledge and I like having such useless informations lingering about my brains. I mean, who knows, I can strike up a conversation with some big shot next time I go to a coffee shop. But we all know life could be so kind. Wolf fangs
I spent the entire Free Cone Day having four ice cream from Ben & Jerry's. I met up with Keh Jun at Rochester Mall at 2pm and we both promised to bring along our laptops since we are going to wait for hours for Sam, Hui Jun and Ying Hui to get out of school. We skipped the queue when it just begin because we were carrying too much weight to start queueing in the blazen heat. Which I later regret since there was this freebie given for the first something people who queued up. Though it was just some tiny, straw tote bag and cards that I don't know where it was categorized in. Keh Jun and I ended up at the Starbucks outlet. We sat outside since there was the only place with a free power plug just beside. And a huge table to place two laptops on. We tapped on their free Wifi and it was pretty fast connection. I was quite impressed considering it was free and people would probably all fight for it causing it to run REALLY slow. We surfed the net and tweet a whole bunch mentioning each other though we are just right in front of each other. I got myself a whole lot of mosquito bites in the first half an hour. But I just am thankful that I was not sweating. I heard this scream from the queue while I was at Starbucks. I jumped from my seat and looked to Keh Jun and asked, "Was there a rollercoaster nearby?" I left Keh Jun behind to get a free cone because I was hungry. And waited in line for about half an hour. I later found some live tweeting from the same line getting their ice cream in fifteen minutes. >:( All the vulgarities gushed out. I camwhored with my photobooth because the lighting was just beautiful there. Especially since the place is naturally so quaint, I don't have to do much for the brightness or slap my face for some redness in the cheeks. Just kidding, I don't do that. And I dressed up, so that calls for a phototaking celebration. Keh Jun was giving me the weird eye when I announced that I finally got a display picture worthy photo. He don't quite understand the fact that my friends never post the photos of our outing up though they brought the cameras on every occasional. Yes Sam, I'm talking about you, and yes, that's why I refuse to take a photo with you on Free Cone Day. Believe it or not, we managed to surf through four hours and met up with the rest eventually. I stood in line with them for one cone before they decided to queue for another cause they found the amount of time taken to queue reasonable. Hui Jun wanted to give up her cone and so I asked her to get one for me while I get another flavour. Verdict: You don't do that. My hands were convered with melted chocolate icecream and icky strawberry cheesecake. And my right shoe got a drop of the chocolate. :( It was just not pretty. It was pretty amazing seeing them after so long. Especially since all we could do now is probably just text each other. Calling them was too risky a choice I gave it up. Your incredibly ignorance I am such a moron for missing 4 episodes of Hellcats. It came back on on 26 January, and look, nearly a month later, I watching it. Argh. I need to keep track so bad.Plus it's getting really tough to watch such shows on the internet now. Movies FTW. And I'm breaking my a-movie-a-week policy. Mainly cause I turn to Glee and Hellcats. SINCE THEY BEEN GONE, I HAVE TO SETTLE FOR MOVIES! Glee is so bad now. But then, all the pairings. Argh.
But poor Sue, loser of the year. But the scene when she was holding the kid and singing along to the ukelele is so cute. It's just heart-warming. She worthless attempt to redeem herself by being the coach of Aural Intensity though... Seriously, it doesn't even make sense. The name, Aural... What? I don't get America. River Island last day sales. :( Saw the perfect dress but when I tried it on, my bust was too big. It got a little tight. -calls in liposuction- I love steamboat a little too much. Oh yes, beef. I can never be a vegetarian now. Aw, Ashley in Hellcats. That beautiful talent. Hellcats takes on such a turn on the term Cheerleaders. I see the routine and my mind is blown. So. Much. Trust. Any mishaps can make a girl lose her limbs. I don't even want to try if I have the chance anymore. -freaks out- I shall stick to drama. Singapore Poly gave out free Starbucks sample for the conference on Friday. Boy, even if I don't drink coffee at all, it's free, it's Starbucks, gimme the truckload. And the goodie bag had a shitload of lollipop. Shitload. -laughs uncontrollably- Gan's writing. About the Jews. And Hitler. Oh gosh that genius epic reaction. I love the food they supplied. Brownies, chicken wings (or wangs), I am humouring myself too much. They gave free Teenage too. Thank god I didn't buy that particular copy. The only job you will have is next to a pole. >:) Rachel's free badass quote. Isabel: Why everybody want to dye their hair ah? I have massive fights with so many people these two weeks. I think my period is coming. Oh well, that means I have the rights. ![]() Labels: Glee, Hellcats, I love steamboat, Starbucks |
