So many work to be done. And next week, there's gonna be two essays to be completed. Bloody hell. And they both require 100 Chinese characters. I struggled with a thousand word essay and now it's gonna be in Chinese. You know how direct and straightforward Chinese can be. So I'm majorly screwed.Anyway, Glee have an amazing two episodes. The plot make sense, even though Tina's sudden outburst was quite a surprise. But I saw it coming, she is really invisible for three seasons and it's bound to happen somewhere now. I love every Coach Beiste's scenes. Dot Jones is perfect. And Puck is extra cute this episode. I am convinced that Lea Michele has been hiding her true voice for three full seasons. Either that or for all her past performances she has just been using 50% of her real voice. Dammit this episode she unleashed her Broadway voice and my hair stood up. Super psyched for ANTM final runway. It's Laura versus Sophie and they are walking for Forever 21. I honestly hope Laura wins. Sophie should just find herself a good agency since her only problem is that she never get the opportunity and not that she is a poor model. My favourite Happily Divorced episode yet. So full of emotions and yet so funny at the same time. Man, Fran just makes me want to have someone to love me that much, it doesn't even matter if he's gay. Modern Family was so smartly written. I love how the drama always start off individual and then it become a whole big issue and everybody's issues start to intertwine. It's seriously witty. I don't think I can write anything or think of any plot like that. Hats off to the writers. Labels: antm, Glee, happily divorced, i watch tv, Modern Family Posted Sunday, May 06, 2012 // 10:55 am
Embrace yourself
I haven't been blogging about TV shows for some time. But that doesn't mean I've not been watching TV. I completed season 3 of 30 Rock, finally. Finally found my sound with this season. It was funny and the writing was superb. I have to admit, I don't get its humour in the first two seasons just as I don't get The Office's humour. It's bad, I know.30 Rock is fantastic with its third season and I am really glad I didn't stop as I planned to when I completed season 2. And thankfully I got bored at home enough to allow some TV me-time. The latest Glee episode is probably one of my favourites in a long time. The last Glee episode I approved of is Grilled Cheesus. Which is more than one season back. I guess I just find some of the plot lines a little too perfect and rounded for a dramedy. Things messed up and people make mistakes that they don't just realise and change within one week of understanding. It takes months to wake up from their fantasy and another few more months to process and get over it. Glee paints a Utopia that is unrealistic and makes people harbour the wrong kind of expectation. But of course not this episode. Choke touched on domestic abuse and the entire failing to reach expectation/dreams. I know people are upset Beiste gave Cooter a second chance but face it, even Rihanna gave Chris Brown a lot of chances before breaking it completely once and for all. Women do that with the same reason as why Beiste does that. They are afraid, they don't know what will happen if they break it off, they don't know what will happen if they don't. Lea Michele's voice is really just untouched and everything. I know her voice is naturally good. But I always knew that a little refining is done to any singer's voice, except Adele's. Man, Lea's voice is just as powerful and dynamic as the soundtrack's. -pleasantly surprised- What irony, the only episode I like is when people screwed up and zero mention about Finchel. Modern Family made me laugh pretty hard with the lines. Holy crap Gloria's fear of flying is the best. And Lily was extra cute this episode with her dealing with her bunny being missing. "Bunny doesn't have a girlfriend, Bunny has a boyfriend!" So cute and precious! And Phil's black friend crack me up so damn much. Okay I love TV too much. I haven't get started on ANTM and Happily Divorced. But I don't think I should go into details of it since nobody really watches it enough to understand what I am talking about. :) Yay. One life out
I managed to finish the entire season one of Episodes and every episode of Happily Divorced along with Hairspray (1988) and Paprika and We Need To Talk About Kevin in the last five days. Oh I have got my weekly ANTM fix. And I still have time to finish two drawings. Though I have to say I miscalculated the proportions of the second one. She has very small eyes to begin with. My 0.5mm pen was too much. :( I am rushing to finish what I have left off for months. Stupid urge to download all sorts of movie when I was still working. What was that all about? Anyway, I have the entire house to myself yesterday, and I did absolutely nothing other than watching shows and movies. And in the night, my godmum called to get me to travel to West Mall and have dinner with her. My sister was home by then but she was going out later on anyway. So when she asked what's up with the phone, I turned to her with my excited face shouting, "Ma asked me out!" I would say my life is pathetic at this point in time. :) I go about researching useless facts the past few days. Mainly about Titanic and TV shows ratings. I would talk to people randomly about it. But I would either sound annoying, trying to sound smart or the people I am talking to simply doesn't care. Oh I share the same birthday as Courteney Cox's daughter. I categories that as "Exciting News". I am so sick of people complaining everywhere about how they wish school don't exist and their project work can disappear on its own. I mean, you fucking chose the path you're on, suck it up, do your homework and get off the internet. I am just this close to unfollowing and unfriending all the JC people on my networks. You knew how tough JC could be, you decide to choose it anyway, and now you complain. Newsflash people, nobody cares how much you regret. Some kids don't even have education, cause you know what they have? They have HIV and Malaria. I went a little overboard over there but get that shit in people. I think it's the hormones
Okay this is really embarrassing to admit but I went to Daiso the other day to buy this pair of furry socks to wear at home. It's pink and furry and even has this bow on the side. But I regret nothing. It does make my legs look like bear paws but it's comfortable as hell. So I love it. It really does do the job of insulating alright. I have these girly ass moments too. I am not so pumped for ANTM Cycle 18. I mean, I love Andre Leon Talley but this cycle, he'll be gone and some other judge will replace him or something. And the British girls that came out of nowhere takes up half of the spots and I really don't like any other spin-offs. As much as I don't like Tyra and how melodramatic she ALWAYS is, she makes the show entertaining. And hey, if it can go on for 18 cycles, that woman is power. I really don't like AusNTM because the host is so annoying and stalker. She would literally appear on this TV screen out of nowhere on the dock or in a boutique presenting this video mail with the same background over and over again and it just freaks the hell out of me. Sometimes she would appear next to the girls or in the lobby when the girls enter an apartment or something. I mean, doesn't that woman have some modelling to do? Is she that free to lounge around and wait for the girls to act all excited and listen to the riddles she would start her speech with, which is also annoying by the way. Oh well. I am a fussy TV junkie. Still very much unemployed. I feel like setting up this online gallery to stock all my sketches/drawings. Just so I never forget what I draw and take note of what I draw before and what I haven't. I guess I shall continue procrastinating. By my second most educational movie I want to cut my jeans or shorts to the cutting below. It looks cool. And workable, just a few snips and snaps and all done. I think I should but this cutting isn't all that great. And I am not really a scallop cut fan. I really don't like that Topshop tank that every blogshop is "inspired" by. ![]() But my godmum is so cute, I was taking one of my shorts out and explaining to her the cutting and asking her casually how she feel about it. I was expecting a flat "no". But my godmum got even more hyped up than I were and started saying how feasible the idea is. And when I questioned her why she liked the idea so much, she says, "Cause it's COOL, only you have it". Honestly, I think she is secretly jealous of my body. Or just generally youths. In my whole life, I've watched two movies that taught me the most about things that I never knew before. Things that can aid to my knowledge about things. And these two movies are Slumdog Millionaire and Precious. I am so thankful I have cable and Star Movie decided to show Precious this morning. Really, it is so good, and so heartbreaking, I felt it so hard, it was so empowering.I've always wanted to watch it, but it was restricted during its stay in Singapore, so too bad for me. But nobody restricts television. -evil grin- I am so inspired by the movie, I feel like reading the book though I probably wouldn't find it anywhere else. Library don't usually supply books that have made into movies. No Harry Potter anywhere in the National Library. Tried once. Well, I am cool and awesome. I am so upset that Hannah went home. Now I am just so neutral about whoever the winner would be. Eat my shit but Nicole Fox is the best winner of all times, all times. Blaine Warbler is the best boyfriend along with Dan Patch. I love how they treat their partners. Swoon worthy. I am a film junkie. :D I am the worst smiler alive. I've read 5 books in these 3 weeks. Somebody spell ACCOMPLISHMENT. >:) Labels: a-movie-a-week, antm, fashion, Glee, Hellcats, i read, Precious Posted Sunday, April 03, 2011 // 10:13 pm
I guess I'm just a dreamer I went to watch Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules just now. I watched it for Devon Bostick. I don't give a damn how silly it sounds to watch a kids movie. I watch it for another motive. I am absolutely taken aback by how the quality of a movie can make a man look like a god. Devon Bostick is the second guy ever to captivate me by his looks through a movie. First was Hayden Christensen. The show is not exactly fantastic or funny, but just a lot of eye-candy. And very typical family. But there was this scene when the editor and his wife visited his mother, and I immediately whispered, "Savannah's mother". I can't help it, Hellcats define me. I am obsessed with drama. I am so absolutely looking forward to the next ANTM episode. I was so stoked by the preview itself and only the preview. But argh, once again, Nigel Barker and his mouth. If there's one thing I hate most about the show, it is his existence. He made so many of my favourite contestants out. Anya was not crowned cause of her voice, Heather didn't make it pass Bianca (really?), Katarzyna was eliminated over Whitney, Joslyn stayed for so long. Seriously, every panel judging, every time he speak, and when I see Tyra listening to him, I go, "Bitch please?" Tyra need to crown the right winners. Hello? Saleisha? Yet somehow, I watched every one of the episodes. Well not exactly, not cycle 1, 2, 3 and 6. I don't know why. Just didn't have to mood to. But my favourite cycle is still cycle 4, followed by cycle 15. I love those two cycles too much. :D I practically watched every and any thing related to ANTM. Modelville, those reunion thing on Tyra Show, everything. Obsession, I know, and I follow everything close to it. Facebook, Livejournal, followed Jay and Tyra on Twitter. Slap me. I wonder if one day ANTM stops. I think I won't make it through. :s I just had a mini heart attack. -hugs invisible ANTM icon- Labels: addiction, antm, devon bostick, obsession, wimpy kid Posted Friday, April 01, 2011 // 3:11 pm
When I look back and stare at myself for a while I honestly really want SYF to be done soon. All the teachers are making tons of noises and missed so many remedial for rehearsals. I seriously hope it's worth it. I mean, I didn't work my butt of for nothing right?April Fools' Day is one of my favourite half-holiday of the year. You know what, make it my favourite. Valentine's and Racial Harmony never really appealed to me if you put them beside April Fools'. I love lying. Best prank today was going around the canteen during recess and telling my juniors lies.
I spot Janice and command her where I was sitting, while she was just behind Joyce and Bella, then break the news that Mrs Crothers is coming to train her personally after school. After Janice nodded her head and Joyce was giving the "Fo real?!" face, I just shout "HAPPY APRIL FOOLS' DAY!" I swear they hated me. xD
I walk up to him, as though I almost forgot, and tell him that Mrs Crothers is going to go through the lights after school with him. I swear, he was secretly shocked though he composedly told me "I have media leh." I was secretly going, "Damn, backfired for a bit". Then I just go, "Hmm, okay nevermind, cause happy April fool's day." He screamed "Wah lau" to me. :D
Whenever I see a dance member, I go up to them with a pissed-off face, then they would sure to ask what happen. Then I would say that the instructor wants me to dance SYF, and I don't want to. Before they were about to curse and bitch about my plight, I busted the truth for them. -evil smirk- P.S: It worked wonders. Though really, it's so fake.
As Petrina already know, I whispered to make sure Isabel is still unaware. Curiosity kills the cat.
I genuinely don't know why one can contradicts so bad. And other pranks include the usual shoelaces and zippers, which surprisingly worked too. :D I like this year. It is fun, fun, fun, fun. Moreover it's Friday. >:) Even better. Some grandmother was eating beside us at the foodcourt at Clementi Mall and discussing with her neighbours about our education and theirs, and Pepper Lunch (Yes, Clementi Mall has Pepper Lunch Express). And somewhere in between that discussion, they started discussing how pretty I am, as though I can't understand dialect. I do perfectly know what "sui" means beautiful in Hokkien. And that "pia kua" is ugly. No Hellcats and Glee till 19 April. Only ANTM. ![]() Did you know that Tyra went back to school last year? She is currently studying business in Harvard. I'm sorry if I'm slow, I only just watch the Ellen interview. -shrug- My jaw dropped and I immediately Googled it. I'm secretly freaking out. I'm such a secretive person. :) Labels: antm, april fools day 2011, Glee, Hellcats Posted Friday, November 19, 2010 // 8:25 pm
What's wrong with just Chrysalids
Cougar is the new IN. iPhone is the new overrated. I was still considering about getting it if my phone spoiled. But it's really on the "Back-up Plan" list. Not the "Wants" or "Needs" list. I think I'll just stick to Nokia, or something which has big memory space and music player system. I'm not a camera person. I only take photos of things that are really hilarious.
Do you realise that Emma Watson doesn't give you any reasons to like her? She is rich, smart, pretty, tall. is a model, has a model boyfriend. I hate her for giving me no reason to hate her. >:(
I'm downloading songs for the Bangkok trip. Trying to finish up everything in 1 night. :D I am a procrastinater sometimes too, yes.
I want to stay to watch ANTM but I want to go and shop. I am torn. But I'm still going. :D Labels: antm, bangkok i love you, i watch tv Posted Thursday, November 18, 2010 // 2:54 pm
Oh my gosh, it may be a girl
Megamind is really awesome. Totally hilarious. But I thought that it was a little too Monster Inc, except there's a happy ending. Well, Shakespeare wrote two Pyramus and Thisbe related stories, but yet again with different endings. Guess there isn't much to blame about.![]() Totally awesome, Glee changed the song lyrics for umbrella.
They realised it too. :)
Chelsea is a finalist, Chelsea is a finalist, Tyra is not a moron. :D So thrilled. They are walking for Roberto Cavalli. I can't wait for the next episode- Oh wait, I'm in Bangkok by then, crap.
I really love the motion shoot they had. But then, it was not the best idea or best thing they've ever had. Oh right, It's Tyra. She freaking allowed Ann to be a finalist. I wanted to watch Kayla and Chelsea fight it out in the finale. It would be BOOM. :D
Selena Gomez is so damn pretty, I never saw a prettier 18-year-old. I want to watch Monte Carlo to the max. Nicole Kidman's the director, Leighton Meester and Selena Gomez and Katie Cassidy starring. It better screen in Singapore. I am pretty upset that Ramona and Beezus wasn't even shown in the worst cinemas in Singapore. I hate living in this dump sometimes.
I can't wait for 2011 to come, I don't know why but it's just a great feeling to the like, the senior-iest in the school. I can totally go around pushing people to their lockers and- Oh right, it's CTSS...
We are gonna rule this place! \m/
