You could be the king but watch the queen conquer
This week is a good week. Well, not the best, but definitely one of the most memorable weeks of my life. Because in a span of a day, all the new feminist heroes emerged onto the brightest spotlight to paint the picture of men having their obnoxiously large head in their ass to the men of the world. Freaking fantastic. :)Just in case you are living under a rock for the past week, here are the news update of the world:
Read up on it though I doubt you have to cause all those heroine have made the headlines one way or another on Yahoo or something. I just want to fangirl over how these women make me so proud to be a woman. They have the guts and conviction like nobody I've ever witness. And the best part is witnessing them all doing their thing at the same time, standing up for all fucked policies in the world. Anyway, other than that piece of invigorating news, I had a good week in school. Getting back enough results to make me smile, and also presenting enough stuffs to make me less stress than I was. Thankfully. So this week had me some peace and quiet, to end it off. Oh and I high recommend the latest 9pm show on Channel 8. It is the most promising thing ever since... Well, a long time, that is. Long live the actual talents still existing in Mediacorp and willing to participate in obnoxiously dramatic shows. This show isn't exactly obnoxious, per se. I'm not claiming that it is. Especially since it features women calling the shots, and doing their work well. I'm not complaining about that. It's just we all know that the quality of local shows have progressively been unexciting. This show is exciting, let's hope it continue on with plot lines and dialogues that make sense. In commemoration of this fantastic week, say hi to Beatrice: She is a feminist who don't give shit about your misogynistic comments. She can crush patriarchy with her glare. Because she is Beatrice. It's fine to keep my feets on the ground once in a while only I am very very free-spirited. And that saves trouble if anyone worries that I might go mental one day. I won't cause I would be stubborn to keep myself commitment-free and everything. But I do want to wear that gown one day. Just, wait a pretty long while?I love to keep myself happy. By drawing random portraits, by writing senseless dark novels, by acting as someone I'm completely not. That's just how I express my feelings. If I do any of those things, I'm one happy girl. OH! And eating too. Usually my cravings. As long as I'm acting, especially. I ain't even mad if my face isn't in the scene half the time, but I can't deny the fact that I'm constantly tired for any after-school activities. But that's main reason is cause I skip lunch. The canteen food is bad. Complaining isn't the job for the actors. The director's the boss on set. What you gonna do bout that? I really like to act with my dearest juniors. Kabir, Shannen, Joyce, Janice, Abigail, Chong Ray. Gawsh they are so cute. Like, argh! I just want to give them teddy bear hugs. :D Especially Janice, she lets me grope her. >:)Labels: doodling, drama, drawing, i'm an artist yes, i'm the swan queen Posted Saturday, January 29, 2011 // 5:36 pm
Show me how you Burlesque I so enjoy writing Ryan his birthday card. Probably the best I've written cause 80% of the entire thing, I am talking about how awesome and cool I am. Which he agree, save your judgements, ya! CCA open house was a lot of fun to do. Chong Ray is so cute I had to terrorise him to the extent that even his friends started calling him RAY RAY. It's hilarious and he is so embarassed. Aw, hot damn. There's this whole lot of ten girls wanting to join Drama, they are all from 1C1. I love that class from today onwards. Hopefully they don't join Netball, even if I hate them for not joining Drama anymore, I don't want them to suffer under the sun and miss lessons for tournaments. It's torture, to me. And sad enough, Kenny Chau didn't come to school that day. Elavaanil and I were mourning over it. How could he EVER let us down like that?! I bet all CCAs wants to screw him if he were to join ANY. All of a sudden, Drama is such a peaceful CCA. All the other Aesthetic CCAs were dissing each and other CCAs. We tried not to disclose any names of any CCAs and sure enough, other CCA hardly had anything to say about Drama. We are scandal-free like that. Dance hardly had anyone joining and it's kinda obvious. I mean, which instructor in the right mind would scream at the members right before the eyes of the yet-to-be-newcomers. They would be scared away and neglected just sitting by the side watching whatever's going on. Petrina and I had our Chewy Junior date after Dance on Friday and that poor girl didn't have any cream in her puff. That came off really wrong but you get it. KOI is a very distracting distraction. Like BAM, distracting. Have beeen doodling a lot of profile of human portraits. I like drawing those particularly, human's expression is always the most intriguing. Nerd day. SO much fun. I look so 60s. Like those really blur and outcasted students. Oh my god, staring at the photo just made me realised how funny I look and why everybody kept laughing at me. It's amazing. ![]() I opted for a low ponytail eventually.
I drew this on 26 Jan 2011 with only a black pen, which is running outta ink. Soon. But isn't the panda just adorable? :D But truth is that panda don't climb bamboo shoots. Not even baby pandas. So I fail at that aspect. But still so ever proud of myself. Eden is a moron for vandalising my book and ruining Sam's book. Like totally ruined. Like rape-ruined. -shakes head- WHY? WHY?! WHY BABY BABAYE?! I love the soundtrack of Burlesque. Favourites are Show Me How You Burlesque and You Haven't Seen The Last Of Me. Best among the best. :D Han Jun had his phone confiscated for calling Jacintha's phone. But it's purely his luck cause he took the phone so high up that even blind people are able to spot in a heartbeat. Really!? Easy A is kinda boring. But Emma Stone is really good. And funny too. Pretty at the same time. Her acting is effortlessly natural. That's all that I can describe. My vocabulary is horrendous. Golly. But the plot is mediocre. Welcome to the Rileys has such a bad ending. Even though Kristen Stewart is ten times cooler with black shadow around her eye. But not half as bad as Taylor Momsen's. Taylor's is just opaque. Kristen's is more transparent-translucent. And Melissa Leo and James Gandolfini definitely made her look BAD. This is a very character driven movie, and it focus on the emotions more than the plot. So Kristen Stewart completely sucked the entire movie. Her scenes are just mmm. I think it's bad directing now though... Hmm... Never mind.
