  Feminist as Fuck

You could be the king but watch the queen conquer
This week is a good week. Well, not the best, but definitely one of the most memorable weeks of my life. Because in a span of a day, all the new feminist heroes emerged onto the brightest spotlight to paint the picture of men having their obnoxiously large head in their ass to the men of the world. Freaking fantastic. :)

Just in case you are living under a rock for the past week, here are the news update of the world:

  • Brazil: Massive Nation-Wide protests and riots caused by, among other factors, monetary focus on the World Cup and Olympics instead of the well-being of the populace
  • Venezuela: Massive protests and riots caused by unjust elections and violation of democratic rights
  • United States: Texas state law passed despite being voted on after a deadline and being protested by both the people and a state Senator. Protests at the senate growing, and law enforcement called in. - The Voting Rights Act of 1965 has been declared inert in the US i.e people of color can be barred from voting.
  • Australia: Leadership ballot being called in 2 hours for the third time during the Prime Minister's leadership as to whether or not she will continue as leader of the ALP, her party.
  • United Kingdom: Government will ban Church of England and Church of Wales from offering same-sex marriage.
  • Greece: Trans*people and sex workers are being rounded up in concentration camps
  • Russia: Government creating anti-homosexuality policies threatening the safety of all LGBT*Q Russians.

Read up on it though I doubt you have to cause all those heroine have made the headlines one way or another on Yahoo or something. I just want to fangirl over how these women make me so proud to be a woman. They have the guts and conviction like nobody I've ever witness. And the best part is witnessing them all doing their thing at the same time, standing up for all fucked policies in the world.

Anyway, other than that piece of invigorating news, I had a good week in school. Getting back enough results to make me smile, and also presenting enough stuffs to make me less stress than I was. Thankfully. So this week had me some peace and quiet, to end it off.

Oh and I high recommend the latest 9pm show on Channel 8. It is the most promising thing ever since... Well, a long time, that is. Long live the actual talents still existing in Mediacorp and willing to participate in obnoxiously dramatic shows. This show isn't exactly obnoxious, per se. I'm not claiming that it is. Especially since it features women calling the shots, and doing their work well. I'm not complaining about that. It's just we all know that the quality of local shows have progressively been unexciting. This show is exciting, let's hope it continue on with plot lines and dialogues that make sense.

In commemoration of this fantastic week, say hi to Beatrice:
She is a feminist who don't give shit about your misogynistic comments. She can crush patriarchy with her glare. Because she is Beatrice.

But better if I'm sung
I am just so happy that the election is over. Not that Tony Tan was president. Just that finally, my godbrother would shut up about his opinions to the candidates running for president.

Honestly, I don't even know who stands up for what. I just know that nobody in the running spoke anything about homosexual and everything so I am guessing that they really aren't trying to represent our generation. It's still Y-Generation Domination. Sigh.

I, for one, would really like a president who stand up for change. So many Singaporeans are so afraid of change, what we really need is a leader who lead us towards the new era. Thus bringing Singapore to a whole new level.

And for Christ's sake, all their logos are ugly. I mean, what's with the heart shape, it's so awkward to see a man in his fifties with an ahlian-type heart shape beside their names. The spectacles was hipster, but it is so vintage too. I was hoping it could be Rayban type of specs. The speech bubble is weird, even more so with the hand inside. Are we suppose to high-five it? The palm tree didn't make sense to me until my sister pointed out that his name has a wood too. -instant enlightenment-

But I didn't say I would not want a Tony Tan cap.

I totally love me sister for immediately jumping into conclusion when she saw an area cordoned off with officers with tags in front of their chest as a crime scene investigation. She insisted on it even after I told her and pointed to her the paper that writes "Poling Station". She called the officers detectives. Oh my. She is funny.

Oh dear, I just realised I have to deal with people on the internet screaming for Tan Cheng Bock to win instead. Twitter's still trending. :(

When it is exposed
So while the entire house is looking for a file, I shall take my time and write this post.

This week is so scary. The entire week was dedicated to spotting the question for the conversation for English Oral. Nobody really was in the mood of preparing for Prelims next week. Screw the exams.

Mrs Ng didn't show up on Wednesday morning for my oral session and made me wake up ten minutes earlier for nothing. >:( I was hoping that I could get it over and done with but I had to wait another one more day to get things right. And I don't like waiting.

Oral on a Friday afternoon is so depressing. Everybody is ready to go home and enjoy the weekends, stupid plans have to be delayed. I tried to loosen up by talking to Boon and Hafiz. Oh my gosh, they are hilarious. And Hafiz has such a strong stage voice. It's rather funny.

Boon is just a manwhore.

I was rather lucky during my oral, I wasn't asked the killer question. The teachers merely ask the working overseas and its problems. And one more participating in activities and events' importance. Didn't see that one coming but I did my best to answer it. I rather like the way I expressed my answers.

Here's a conversation between me and my less-than-supportive godmum.
A: Ma, where is the yoga mat?
G: Huh?
A: Oh, there. (picks it up)
G: What you want it for?
A: I want to train abs.
G: (smirked and return back to her newspapers)
A: -.-
Wipe that smile off your face woman, I shall have a food chain before you know it!

I thought the president elections was today. See how much I entangle myself with politics.

Prom is coming! I can't wait. But I am hoping my sister can find me my dress. Prom is only 3 days after my final paper and so many things must be done. I kinda glad the school has lowered the price as compared to last year. All I need now is the theme so I can make up my mind and save my penny. :D

Gratitude was never promised
I am so thankful that Bukit Batok is not falling into the demonic hands of NSP. As much as Nicole Seah is a great, charismatic speaker, I hate her. I cannot imagine the place where I lived for half my life in the hand of a greenhorn's party. And I want my PAP kindergarten.

I hate the 10% GST thing that everybody is complaining. And I can't seem to understand why PAP is apologising for things that happened way beyond their control. Is it their fault that an economic crisis happened? Is it their fault that the rain fell so hard that Orchard Road flooded? Is it their fault that Mas Selamat is a fucking survivor?

Really. Just stand up for what you believe in, like MM Lee.

I'm good and I know it. Fuck what you think bitch.

I'm gonna blog about this even though I know that people won't read it since it's Hellcats.

I LOVE THE PAIRING OF JULIAN AND MARTI! Completely swoon over the kiss, and the sex. But then, oh yeah. And Dan is honestly the best boyfriend ever on TV drama. I love the show so much, though the occasional singing puts me off. It ain't no Glee, stick with High school drama please.

Aly and AJ acting as half sisters in the show. Cliche. I was rolling my eyes but then again, both of them are good actresses. Not complaining. Just it's so typical for real life sisters to play about it in TV dramas.

Really don't like Santana now, and Brittany broke up with Artie just cause he called her "Stupid", like in a figure of speech but Brit still went hysterical over it. -shrugs-

Kurt and Sam must not happen and so mustn't Quinn and Sam, again. The only pairing that should ever happen again is ONLY St.Berry. They compliment one another's voice so well. Rolling in the Deep~ Much love.

I hate Finn, so bad.

And Kurt and Blaine must never break up. Or it's over. Everything. :( Sad just thinking about it.
